Dear Diary
Hello,

As you might have noticed from the last few updates I haven't had any one liners from CSI, that is pretty much due to the fact that CSI has become so recycled that I just don't enjoy watching it any more, so until I find a new show to get one liners from, I'll have to go back to pretty rubbish titles again.

The job front is starting to look interesting, I've already been offered an interview with Corus, even though they weren't going to start giving them out until after the team building event on Wednesday, which must means they saw something promising in my application. Which is nice.

I also went for a techie job for a largeish local company, which if I am honest I sort of hope I get more than the Corus job now, which is weird because I know the Corus job will lead to way more money. But what can you do? The techie job combines two of the things I enjoy most, toying around with computers and driving.

Although in an ideal world I'd actually be a grease monkey, every time I read a progress report on the web of someone carrying out various tasks on their car, I just sit their in envy. Which I suspect is what made me so interested in REME, I'd be able to learn how to be a grease monkey and that would just be fantastic.

That is all I can think of for this week really.

Take care,

[Flibble]
Hello,

It has been a while since I last did one of these, turns out I am either a lazy slacker, or just get sidetracked easily. I'd probably go for the former. However, as I pay out of the arse for it, well not initially true, I might as well make use of it.

The Corus thing is going, well, I assume, I've been invited to a team building manly event RAWR! Which involves running around in a field doing manly things. Although I have no idea what. Good fun.

Also, these weird drugs (legal drugs picked up from the chemist) have made me seriously trippy. They are supposed to calm me down so I don't go mentalist during a test on Tuesday, but all they've done is make me see little people running around making stuff work. It would make a great basis for a cartoon, but not really ideal in the real world.

But what can you do, eh? It is all part of life and if that means I am an A Grade mentalist, so be it.

It takes an awful lot of rage to pull a man's arm off.
Hello,

It is been a while since I've done one of these. It would be nice if I had some fantastic story as to why, but it was party down to being unable to visit my site thanks to my ISP being silly but mostly just me being too lazy to bother.

I passed yet another "are you a thicky" test, this time for the steelworks (Corus), so maybe this time I'll get a job out of it, although I don't expect to be making money any time soon as it is a apprenticeship so I doubt it'll start until the next academic year. Which means I am still on the hunt for a job until then, which as one might imagine is a ballache. I suspect I should have gone straight to the work place rather than spending 3 years at uni as it seems experience makes you employable, not qualifications.

I've been invited down to the farm again, which in some ways could be good fun, but in others I could end up coming home ill again, which I really cannot afford if I want to try my hand at the Army again in 2010. Although assuming this thing with Corus goes well I shouldn't need to anyway. Touch wood.

It also appears that I have grown an unnatural obsession with Life on Mars (the original version), so I should probably seek help for that, but it is a bloody good series. Shame the writes only saw fit to create 18 episodes because the spin off (Ashes to Ashes) is utter bollocks and I am still dreading watching the Yank version as they never know when to stop and will no doubt ruin it and given season 1 already has 11 episodes not 8, it looks seems they already have.

[Title Here Soonish]
Hello,

It has been a while since I have done one of these and yet I still have very little in the way of news.

It turns out my family is still being an episode of the Jeremy Kyle show so the only people who realised it was my birthday was intarwebnet friends and Dave from American Soda. Which was nice.

Job hunting still isn't going well, so if the last batch I've applied for fall through then I'll just go back to college. But from what I gathered a job at the job centre is very likely, which lets face it would be a cracking job, although a bullet proof vest is a must.

To try and pass the time I have started some zombie arse kicking and my current goal is to try and earn Grim Reaper, so if you ever notice I achieved the goal, it probably means I am one excited fatty.

Also, for your viewing pleasure, I have started my webcam going again, although this time rather than poking out of my window, it is filming my working area. So if you're ever interested in what I get up to (although I suspect you'd struggle to see anything) take a look.

Desk Cam

Nothing special, but there you go. At least I can feel I am making use of some of the toys I have collected over the years.

Take care,
~Jordan.

For god sake show me something sensational.
Hello,

It turns out I don't get on with people enough to be a prop, though to be honest I wasn't totally surprised. Now if they wanted examples of curb stomping I'd have been the winnar.

But this weeks rant revolves around shitty attention to detail in programs, now not to say I am biased, but the two major cock ups I could be bother to screen cap come from Flashpoint.

First up is the bolt handle, all I can say is how could anyone miss this? The problem is it appears the actors know sweet fuck all about weaponry as a result they are left looking stupid.

Bolt handle not locked in place

Second is the scope, and as a minor thing, the safety but for now we'll over look that. Who the hell mounted that scope and didn't see any issues with it?
Now in case you're one of the many who can't see the problem, it is upside down.

Bolt handle not locked in place
Bolt handle not locked in place

Now the safety off is a marginal issue as it depends on the rules of the organisation as to whether or not it should be on when you're jot observing, but generally the rule is yes.

You might also have noticed that these two mistakes revolve around one actor, but the former was caused by "Ed" stepping away from the weapon and his hand knocked the bolt handle out of place, but one would assume that when "Sam" moved up he would have adjusted it, but then he is a lefty, which makes operating a rifle made for a righty tricky. But then one would assume he'd either be taught how to use his right hand (he is ex-military after all) or the "SRU" would have gone to the armourer and ordered a lefty version of the rifle.

You might have guessed by now I am rather bored and you'd have guessed correctly.

Take care,
