Never forget how lucky you are.
Hello,

It could be that I am seriously impatient, but I am getting bored of waiting on a company to get back to me, why on earth does it always take so long to get a response to a job? It is rather annoying, though I should probably start applying at all the agencies because I really need to start lining my pockets and the only good jobs require one to have a drivers licence - how much do I regret putting that off - which is slightly awkward.

In an attempt to cling on to what little sanity I have left, I have taken up a little project, nothing major, just helping a friend with a portfolio, as it would appear that all the woman I know are French, so they give up on anything rather quickly, as such I am drilling into her that she isn't a Surrender Monkey as such needs to stop raising the white flag.

I suspect most of it is fear of rejection/failure, now I will not claim that I haven't done the same, at times in my life - I was going to apply for the Police, but as no where but down south is taking on, I gave up trying - but when you see someone who is spectacular at art start raising the flag because she doesn't think she can get into some art school or [a huge list of people who have skill in an area but would rather raise the flag than try goes here], you want to start punching them in the feet.

Ranting aside, if my mocking of them, or in the above case helping with a portfolio means they actually take the step and try, I'll feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

You got it doc.
Hello,

I have now been at home for some time and it has come to my attention that job hunting is the most boring job in the world. Plus it is rather annoying when most of the jobs require the user to have the ability to drive, which is another reason for e to regret not getting a licence sooner.

Unfortunately the money I did have put to one side to fund such a venture has depleted, most of which because my parents had to collect my sister from London, but as the car is still in the garage this process involved them renting a van and burning quite a lot of fuel in the process, basically a month of my mothers wages was spent during the trip, which means they don't have the money to go on a 30th Anniversary based event, well that would be the case, but I am giving them the cash from my licence fund so they can still do it.

This is probably why I never have any money to be honest, I am always too willing to help people, not a smart move. However am British, so I shall perceiver.

Hopefully I'll get a decent job before I get desperate and piss away my education on anything, as a background in IT would be wasted making cardboard boxes for a living.

Take care,

Crime scene at a funeral, can't get much deader than this.
Hello,

So over the years because of my waving of the Union Jack, I have been branded as somewhat of a royalist/monarchist, and my current rant isn't going to change that image. Today my rant is based around Princess Beatrice, yesterday (the 19th) I middle clicked the Firefox RSS feed from BBC News and scanning though most of the stories, one I decided to read bothered me somewhat.

It turns out some people in the media have called Princess Beatrice overweight and all that jazz after seeing a photo of her in a bikini, and due to a lot of free time on my part, but mostly boredom I had to find out what the big deal was about. So agreed she isn't some [insert name of stupidly thin super model here], and the bikini in question didn't really suite her figure, but is that really a bad thing?

I feel I should extend this to all women folk, but really I have no doubt in my mind that it was only the red tops who were running the story, but lets face it, they don't really classify as a news paper, they are more in-line with the gossip column of some woman's fashion magazine. Which isn't so much news as it is a reason to poke fun at someone.

Now I know the media have freedom of the press and free speech, but does that really include the right to verbally abuse people? I'd say not, but as the person they are poking fun at is a royal most of the populous use the mindset of "meh, who cares?" but is that really a good thing?

Admittedly the royals are not all that liked in England these days, but they are the head of the county none the less, and to be honest they gain my respect just for that reasoning and it isn't as though Princess Beatrice is anything other than normal, though truth be told, I don't have what is considered normal taste, I do believe she is one of the better looking royals, which is a strange concept when one considers that for quite a few years they were mostly inbred.

That all aside, all the "media" seem to be doing is abusing someone to try and get them to start a starvation binge so they have something else to write about, which quite frankly is a relatively sad situation to be in, though it wouldn't be the first time as it looks like Katie Price could do with a burger or two.

Of course this all adds to my stigma of being a royalist and I sound like Chris Crocker, what a depressing thought. If I ever make a video defending the royals please beat me to death with a [edit: silver] spoon.

This is the Elvis model, we're a fat country.
Hello,

Slightly delayed update again, I really can't get into the whole posting once a week deal again, it just seems like quite a bit of hassle. I am stuck at university a week longer than expected because of the tree house mechanic my parents have been using has cased the head gasket to blow again and based on the fact the last one to go was in September that is a rather short shelf life, but it appears that he'd replace the gasket, but not some other work which just means the engine over works itself and pop, one needs yet another gasket.

So this time they have finally gone to a Vauxhall Specialist (which I have pestered them to do for quite a long time), and though a touch price, the work is finally going to get done properly, but it does mean until it is done I am stuck at university for a touch longer than expected.

On the subject of vehicles, I aim to get my tags as soon as humanly possible upon my return to Scunthorpe, add to the joys of trying to find a job which will fund everything required to get said tags. So like so many other University graduates before me, you'll most probably find me tossing burgers in McDonald's or some such. Then the joys of trying to find a place to live, which will be an even bigger ball ache.

So there you have it, and update which will probably be the last for quite some time again as I am most probably the laziest person in the world when it comes to things like this.

Show me what you see.
Hello,

I felt it was about time I did one of these again, as it has been quite a while. Naturally laziness has gotten the better of me and I constantly put it off as the whole process is rather laborious.

A few weeks ago I went down to the farm where I hung out for a bit, did a little weekend G.I. Joeism, then worked on the orchard for the rest of the week, relatively fun, but not much else to say on the matter.

I was then whisked back to uni where I had to pack all my gear to go home, spent a week at home before I went back down to the farm again for another weekend of pseudo fun, and working on the orchard, but this time I managed to pick up a little southern flu, and because I worked myself to the ground one day doing what is really a two man job on my own, it left me open for all sorts of illery. By the time I saw a doctor I was in rather bad shape and required huge doses of steroids, antibiotics, an x-ray and blood tests.

The day after the blood test was taken the doctor was phoning me at home saying she wanted to admit me into hospital, which personally I found was a tad excessive, so she made me come in for a check up, and she agreed it wasn't needed, but I would need more antibiotics and another blood test.

So there we are, up to date, I suppose I should mention I am currently void of a PC as a power surge has blown my PSU, and suspecting my motherboard too, but until I start buying new parts to switch out I have no real way of knowing, and because I am more interested in getting myself some wheels, I can't see it getting fixed for some time yet, as it isn't going to be cheap.

I also managed to completely destroy a friendship with someone, well I say I did, I only chucked petrol on the fire because of had enough of her psycho babel, she was busy having a shit fit because I was awake and that everything I do must be because I was in love with her, or some random bullshit. It never crossed her mind that I leave computer on and MSN running because I listen to music when I sleep and am too lazy to close MSN. So in one swoop I finished of what friendship we had, and put a halt on me going to Canada any time soon (she was going to put a roof over my head which would have saved me about £2,500 making the trip possible this year, but now it isn't so I'm getting a car instead).

But that is life really, shit happens you have to get on with the rest of your life when it does or you'll just miss out.

Take care,
~Jordan
