Hello,
It amazing how much food is taken for granted until you're too stupid to make sure you have some to eat. Then I seemed to turn rather aggressive and agitated, but now I have food, and all is good again.
I don't really have any news this week that I can think of, other than the whole lack of food thing for a while, so I suppose all I have left to say is this.
NHS Organ Donors Website: I want you to know that I have added my name to the NHS Organ Donor Register so that I can help someone else to live after my death.
Every year hundreds of people die while waiting for a transplant. I want to help.
I registered my wishes to be a life-saver on the UK Transplant website. You can find out more about organ donation by visiting their site: www.uktransplant.org.uk.
I felt the need to make sure I was a registered donor, so there you have it, if you ever find me dead in the streets be sure to tell someone I'm a donor.
I have also got round to making use of my free domain name, so you can now reach me at jbush.co.uk and psychoman.net.
Take care, ~Jordan |

Hello,
As burning time is the most fun in the world, I have recently started watching cartoons, most fun ever. Clone High, Bromwell High, Rocko's Modern Life, all fun. And there is no way in hell they'd ever get made in this Politically Correct mad world. Bromwell High for example pokes fun at stereotypes all the time, which today would start a shit storm.
University is also getting very tedious, to the point where I have started to lose motivation, although that could be down to a lack of food. Which is my own fault really as I have managed to balls up my budgeting this year, mostly because I put off doing a real food shop for too long and lived on take away. So quite a lot of money was pissed away doing that, and now I've really started to notice it. Though there are only three weeks left until Christmas holidays, so hopefully I can hold out until then, and on my return to next semester I'll have to force myself to budget better.
Oh, and here is a tip to anyone, NEVER live near a power substation, dammit does it make a lot of noise. Even when I close my window I can still hear it, which is rather annoying.

Hello,
So remembrance day came and went, and surprisingly most people on campus turned off their music and shut up during it, though you always get the arse holes who don't. But that isn't the basis of my rant today. There appears to be an increase on the number of people who deface graves, which is an appalling concept, but what is worse is those who deface the war memorials. Without even trying to look I have seen 3 cases from yesterday when people defaced war memorials before remembrance events are held. What sort of cock does that?
Amazingly the weather has got nice for once, nice and chilly, if only we had snow it would be awesome. Cold weather is the most awesome thing ever, the cold is so much fun.
Today I am going to sign back up to the gym and try and put my weight back on, but I really should increase my food intake, even though I struggle to find space in the freezer as there are only 5 shelves and 6 of us living here. So naturally I got pushed out. Teach me to not go shopping sooner.

Hello,
So I missed last weeks news post, but there you go. So last Tuesday we had the Halloween party thingy, which was a laugh, and when I get round to it I'll have to get all the photos of me looking shocked in them. Turns out I don't like my photo being taken much.
One would assume I'd have more to say after two weeks, but really my time is being spent doing work at uni, or reading books. Mostly the books deal, man books are awesome, just a shame I have to stand up and turn off my light when I'm finished. Being lazy is hard work at times, when I get bored of reading at night I want to sleep, but first I have to get up, turn off lights, make the million mile track across my room to bed again. Way too much work.
I've also found that local pubs are the most awesome thing ever, we've spent hours in The Race Course, which is a little pub located behind campus, but because the main gate is on the other side, it ends up becoming one hell of a trek. But dammit do local brews rule, Oakwell Larger, or Barnsley Bitter (I think that is the right name), my word do they make awesome pints, dirt cheap too. The only downside is because it is all local brew it ranges from 5% to 10% alcohol content, so some days it takes all night to get off your clot, others it happens a lot faster. It is a rather large amount of fun.
So my tip of the day is stop drinking the large branded beers, and start trying locally brewed alcoholic goodness, you'll be surprised when you do.

Hello,
This weeks update is a touch late, but there you go.
If there is one thing I will take to my grave from university, it is this: No matter how much someone pressures you, if you have to be somewhere in the morning, never got out drinking the night before. Hangovers and work are not fun.
It would seem everyone is over reacting about the whole analogue digital switch, like it is something new. Back in the 90's England started the switch when Sky came over changed the big dish on the side of the house for a sexy new small one and replaced the set top box for a new one which also had a remote control with a million buttons, and Sky Open had Sheep Dip, Battleships and Corporal Cluck. Games which I spent many an hour playing.
Then a few years ago NTL (or Virgin Media as they are now called) came over and gave us a new NTL set top box which was digital able, then there is also Freeview which is digital able. Yet everyone is getting all worked up about nothing over the switch, just because the TV Tuner will no longer be able to pick up a signal on old TVs, but if you ran out and got a digital TV, again no issue. The cheapest option would be to grab a Freeview box if you haven't already got some sort of digital medium as these days they are £10.
But it would appear that logic goes out of the window when you see people screaming about the end of TV, and how they have to spend thousands on new TV sets or some jazz. Come on people, there is no issue here.
It would appear that University still hasn't taken my rent (it was due to go out on the 16th), which to some people might be a good thing, but it is rather worrying to me as there could have been a balls up somewhere and I'll end up getting kicked off campus which means I'll have to withdraw from uni as I wouldn't have anywhere to live. So naturally that is a rather sucky option. I'll have to go to Accommodation/Accounting tomorrow (I could go today but I don't fancy the walk today) and find out what is going on.
Take care, ~Jordan |
