Hello,
So yet again it has been a while since I last did one of these, but my time has been rather consumed by other matters and truth be told, I find the process rather tedious, hence the lack of updates.
I am really starting to enjoy being a greasemonkey, to the point where I have been offered a job, slightly unfortunate really as I will most probably be living in Yorkshire by the end of the month. But who knows what time will turn up.
As you may have noticed in the last update I fixed the engine on an old diesel van, well that van is now my van as I decided in a moment of madness to buy it. That of course was a purches which lead to more work as it turned out the rear right cross member was rusted through so needed patching up. Which though took longer than it should have, was nicely done, if I do say so myself, and now ready for an MoT Test some time in the week. So now, naturally, it is time for some pictures.

Now if I am totally honest, I am not sure as to whether or not it'll hold. But I suspect only time will tell and now it is under sealed no one will know the work has been done unless they really look for it. And while I had the fuel cell off I sprayed that in some under seal too and replaced a few brake pipes which were showing their age. There is only one job left to do and that is drill the hole in the plating where the spare wheel holder goes, but that can wait.
At some point I will have it resprayed a nice blue or black (not sure which yet) and throw on some pimped out wheels, should I do the 300MM front disc mod, then I'll have to go for some rather large 17" alloys. I may just stick with a set of 15" alloys lifted from a Mk1 Focus. As the brake mod isn't really needed and knowing me, I'd want to convert the rear end from drums to discs and that is a tall order.
Take care, ~Jordan |
